Colleges are shutting down. . . again. States are reconsidering their mandates. . .again. Foreign countries like England and France are tightening down on restrictions. . .again. Looks like we will be having another peak of virus cases. . .again. This time, higher and more dangerous than ever. With college students returning (and partying), sporting event parties, school sports games, and reopened restaurants, the Coronavirus cases are rising every day.
On Thursday, October 15th, the United States surpassed 8 million total virus cases. With the virus creeping across the nation to the midwest, nearly 41 states are on an upward incline in the past two weeks. This raises great concern because the plateau in which the virus cases are rising is much higher than before, making the possible third peak of the virus increasingly dangerous.
The rising cases in the midwest can be caused by the fact that flu season is beginning, the lack of wearing masks, and slow temperature decline which causes people to stay home where the virus thrives. Because there are fewer people in these rural states, there are fewer and further hospital beds to hold the new influx of patients.
